DEUTERIA ("the Service") is a free-to-play, browser-based space-strategy game reachable at https://deuteria.net.
2. Operator
The Service is operated by Edijs Bethers, an individual trading as DEUTERIA, established in the United Kingdom. The operator is not incorporated and is not registered for VAT. Contact: [email protected].
A postal address for correspondence will be published here before any paid purchase is offered. Until then the Service is provided free of charge and email is the contact route.
3. Independent & unofficial
DEUTERIA is an independent, fan-made high-stats strategy game inspired by the space-empire genre. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Gameforge Productions GmbH or the OGame trademark, nor by any other rights holder. All third-party names and trademarks belong to their respective owners and, where they appear, are used only descriptively.
4. Open-source components
The Service is built on the open-source OGameX engine (MIT License) with substantial modification, alongside other open-source software. Applicable licence notices are retained; attributions are available on request.
5. Paid virtual currency
The Service uses Dark Matter, a virtual premium currency. Real-money purchase of Dark Matter is not available while the in-game store is closed; where the store is open, purchase, delivery and refund terms are set out in the Terms & Conditions. Dark Matter and all in-game items have no monetary value outside the game and cannot be exchanged for cash.
6. User-generated content
Player-created content (names, messages, alliance and profile text) reflects the views of its authors, not the operators. Report anything that breaks the rules to [email protected].
7. Governing law & disputes
These notices and your use of the Service are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence. Nothing here affects your statutory rights.
If you are a consumer and we cannot settle a complaint between us, you may be able to use an alternative dispute resolution scheme. UK consumers can get free advice from the Citizens Advice consumer service.
